Anikka Moore is an Environmental Specialist who joined Dominion in 2010. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
“My work offers a lot of variety, which I like,” Anikka says. “I work closely with our operations personnel in power generation and transmission and distribution on complying with state and federal environmental regulations. I help them understand, adapt to and comply with new, amended and existing regulations that cover solid, hazardous and PCB-related wastes, as well as chemical management.”
“All together,” Anikka notes, “it amounts to about 15 different state and federal environmental regulations. That may not sound like a lot, but take the hazardous waste regulation, for example. It has 20 different parts with as many as 1,200 sections in a single part of the regulation. Compliance can be complicated and challenging. With regulations changing all the time, it keeps me on my toes.”
